Mustafa Arifeen's practice focuses on corporate law, particularly in the areas of investment funds, private equity, and fund formation and secondaries transactions.

Before joining Jones Day, Mustafa was an associate in the investment funds team of an international law firm, where he advised privately held sponsors on fund formation, including commingled funds, co-investment structures, and funds-of-one. He also advised on private capital transactions, including acquisitions and strategic investments, for sponsors and portfolio companies. His experience spans mandates involving institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, asset managers, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).
