Erika Cagney has been representing employers for more than a decade in all aspects of labor and employment law and is an active litigator who has extensive experience handling complex employment litigation matters. She represents employers in all types of labor and employment matters, including discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, employee and contractor classification, employment policies and practices, reductions in force, trade secret, and restrictive covenant matters. Her practice also includes counseling on a variety of employment issues, including compliance with the patchwork of federal, state, and local employment laws, conducting sensitive investigations, and litigation avoidance.

Erika's recent engagements include successfully representing various employers facing potential collective actions under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) challenging layoff and hiring practices. Erika also has first- and second-chair trial and arbitration hearing experience.

Erika maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes working with Kids in Need of Defense to represent unaccompanied minors on immigration matters, and providing advice to numerous nonprofit clients. She has coauthored and spoken on numerous employment topics, such as ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance and avoiding sexual harassment claims.
