Marques Hillman Richeson is a results-oriented litigator who advocates vigorously for clients. He handles significant, high-stakes litigation, representing clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels. He has served as national and coordinating counsel for Fortune 500 and global companies, providing strategic advice on matters related to product liability, complex commercial litigation, class actions, and multidistrict litigation.
Marques' product liability experience encompasses mass tort, personal injury, and consumer fraud actions involving a broad range of products and industries, including pharmaceuticals, health care, medical devices, chemicals, manufacturing, and automotive. Marques is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), which advocates for product manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers across the globe. He has also served on Law360's product liability editorial advisory board.
Marques is an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and he has taught trial advocacy in Nigeria as part of Jones Day's Rule of Law in Africa initiative. He is highly active in pro bono efforts and represents individuals in death penalty, clemency, asylum, and LGBTQ rights cases. He has filed briefs on critical issues in the U.S. Supreme Court and federal appellate courts.
Marques was appointed to the Southern District of Ohio Local Rules Committee, as well as to the Commission on the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center. He is also active on nonprofit boards throughout Ohio, including Cleveland Ballet, Karamu House, LAND Studio, and the Euclid Schools Foundation.
