Kaavya Ramesh is a litigator whose skills are drawn from her diverse educational and professional experiences. She represents clients in sophisticated commercial litigation at the state and federal levels. She has experience drafting various pleadings and motions, working on many stages of discovery, and preparing deposition materials.

Kaavya's practice focuses on a variety of matters, including multidistrict antitrust litigation, trade secret litigation, climate change litigation, and cases arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Prior to joining Jones Day, Kaavya represented insurance companies in bad faith litigation. Upon graduation, she served as an assistant district attorney (ADA) in Philadelphia where she had the opportunity to prosecute felonies at the Municipal Court level and was also a member of the Special ATV (all-terrain vehicle) Taskforce.

Kaavya maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing incarcerated individuals in mediation of their civil rights claims. She has represented asylum seekers through the Firm's Border Project. She is also an active member of the Firm's Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement Committee. Outside of work, Kaavya is passionate about giving back to her local community and regularly volunteers with United Way, a nonprofit organization. She is also a mentor through the LCLD Success in Law School Mentoring Program in Pittsburgh and works closely with law students to enhance their law school experience and advance their careers.
