Emily Mirabella assists clients with navigating an increasingly complex tax disputes landscape. She provides clients with strategic and commercial advice at all potential junctures of a tax dispute, including risk reviews, audits, objections, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation. Emily advises clients on a broad range of tax issues, with particular experience in contentious international tax matters, income tax, anti-avoidance measures, and employment taxes.

Emily brings strong regulator engagement and dispute management skills to assist clients with resolving disputes as effectively as possible. She has advised multinational groups, retirement funds, government entities, and private groups across a range of industries. In addition, she has experience advising on front-end tax technical matters, professional negligence claims, freedom of information requests, and privilege reviews.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Emily was a senior associate in a top-tier law firm. Earlier in her career, she worked as a tax advisor in large accounting practices, which has given her a unique appreciation of the commercial and regulatory issues faced by taxpayers.
