Dani Kunkel's practice focuses on complex civil litigation, with a focus on commercial matters. She has experience in many aspects of discovery and trial preparation including conducting legal research, preparing deposition materials, and assisting with document review strategies. Dani's experience covers a broad range of topics, including trade secrets claims, contract disputes, and insurance recovery matters. Dani also represents clients in investigations by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).
Dani recently served a secondment with Jones Day's client Alcoa Corporation, where she worked closely with in-house counsel for several months. She assisted the company in preparing SEC filings and board materials. She also communicated with vendors to facilitate Alcoa's 2022 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
Dani maintains an active pro bono practice. She assisted a client through the Western District of Pennsylvania's Pro Se Pro Bono Mediation Program in pursuing a claim for violation of his civil rights. She has also conducted a civilian investigation into an administrative matter with the Minneapolis Office of Police Conduct Review.
