Nicolás González Muñoz represents global clients in complex international arbitration proceedings before leading arbitral institutions, as well as in civil and commercial litigation at all court levels, including the Supreme Court. He has experience in construction, energy, civil liability, commercial contracts, corporate, and post-M&A disputes.

His relevant experience prior to joining Jones Day in 2025 includes advising a German company in an international arbitration against a Chinese entity concerning the construction of energy infrastructure; representing a Spanish company in two arbitrations arising from large-scale construction projects in the Middle East; and advising a UK investment fund in a high-value dispute involving the breach of a multimillion-dollar SPA (share purchase agreement).

Nicolás also has served as legal counsel in domestic and international mediation proceedings and has worked with a range of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA).
