Dans le domaine contentieux, il intervient sur des litiges stratégiques en matière de droits d'auteur, de marques, de dessins et modèles et de concurrence déloyale, pour des clients nationaux et internationaux et devant les juridictions françaises et de l’Union européenne. En complément de son activité judiciaire, Edouard Fortunet conseille les clients sur leurs stratégies globales de protection de leurs actifs immatériels (création, protection, développement et respect des droits de propriété intellectuelle).

Edouard Fortunet dispose également d’une solide expertise dans le domaine transactionnel. Il a assisté un grand nombre de sociétés sur les aspects propriété intellectuelle liés à leur introduction en bourse, ainsi que lors d’opérations complexes de fusion-acquisition françaises et internationales. Il gère au quotidien des projets multi-juridictionnels et travaille en étroite collaboration avec les clients pour concevoir, structurer et mettre en œuvre, au regard de leurs intérêts économiques, des partenariats technologiques et commerciaux à forts enjeux. Il exerce principalement dans les domaines de la tech, de l’énergie, des sciences de la vie, de l’entertainment et du retail.
