Kyle Deakins represents clients through all aspects of complex litigation matters in federal and state courts.
Kyle has experience developing and summarizing extensive factual records for presentation to government regulatory bodies including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), conducting complex legal research to advise clients on the applicability of changing legal standards, and drafting briefs and motions to contest legal issues at various stages of a lawsuit.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Kyle served two judicial clerkships.
- Georgetown University (J.D. magna cum laude 2022; Order of the Coif); Yale University (B.A. 2018; Recipient of Frank M. Patterson Prize for senior essay)
- Pennsylvania, New York, District of Columbia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland
- Law Clerk to: Chief Judge Matthew W. Brann, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania (2024-2026) and Senior Judge Catherine C. Blake, U.S. District Court, District of Maryland (2023-2024)
