Erica Duff is a trial lawyer who defends clients in complex mass tort litigation and product liability actions. She has been a member of multiple trial teams, with most cases tried to a verdict.
Currently, Erica is actively involved in Jones Day's nationwide defense of products liability lawsuits brought against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She also has extensive experience defending clients in large dockets of repetitive tort claims, including claims related to alleged emissions of ethylene oxide. She has experience in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including managing e-discovery in toxic tort cases, taking and defending fact witness depositions, consulting with and preparing expert witnesses, and drafting dispositive motions and significant pretrial and post-trial briefing. During trial, Erica has argued motions and evidentiary issues to the court.
Erica maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing her efforts on the Firm's Border Project, which provides guidance and legal representation to individuals with claims for asylum or other forms of immigration relief.
