John Cormie advises clients on the structuring, fundraising, and operation of private investment funds across multiple strategies. John also represents established institutional investors in connection with primary investments, co-investments, and secondary market transactions.
John's recent experience prior to joining Jones Day in 2025 includes advising on the launch of a real estate credit opportunities fund, a pan-European buyout fund focusing on the financial services sector, and several GP-led (general partner) secondary transactions. John also served an eighth-month secondment to the legal team of a leading European credit manager, where he worked on a variety of fundraising and house matters.
