La pratique de Mehdi Ait Said se concentre sur le développement, l'acquisition, la construction et le financement de projets et d'infrastructures dans le secteur de l’énergie en France et à l'étranger.

Il conseille les sponsors, les prêteurs et les entités des secteurs privé et public dans le cadre de leurs opérations énergétiques ou liées à des infrastructures, notamment énergie éolienne (sur terre et en mer), énergie solaire (au sol, sur toiture et flottante), hydrogène, stockage par batterie, hydroélectricité, ainsi que toutes les infrastructures de distribution et de transport d'énergie.

Mehdi Ait Said accompagne les clients dans le cadre de la rédaction et de la négociation de la documentation de projet, notamment les contrats de développement, les contrats de constructions (EPC turnkey ou par allotissement), les contrats de fourniture (PPAs, y compris CPPAs) et les contrats d'exploitation-maintenance (O&M).

Mehdi Ait Said intervient également dans le domaine des fusions et acquisitions, des joint-ventures et du droit des sociétés en général.

Avant de rejoindre Jones Day, Mehdi Ait Said a travaillé au sein du département juridique d'un acteur mondial des énergies renouvelables et au sein du bureau parisien d'un cabinet d'avocats international. Il a également enseigné le droit des sociétés à l'Université de Poitiers pendant plusieurs années.
