BNP Paribas Asset Management creates infrastructure debt fund dedicated to Korea Investment & Securities

The international law firm Jones Day advised BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) in the creation of an infrastructure debt fund dedicated to the Korea Investment & Securities (KIS), one of the largest investment and brokerage banks in Korea. The fund was set up in the form of a direct lending securitization fund managed by BNPP AM. This is one of the first French direct lending securitization funds created since the entry into force in November 2018 of the decrees implementing the Ordinance No. 2017-1432 of October 4, 2017. It shall invest into infrastructure debts up to a total investment amount of €2 billion. Its first infrastructure debt investment was a loan facility of £150 million to Heathrow Finance PLC, the holding company of the British airport.
