Petitioner prevails in Sixth Circuit habeas appeal

Jones Day successfully represented the petitioner in a habeas corpus case in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. The court agreed that Jones Day’s client received ineffective assistance of counsel during his state criminal trial, and the court ordered a new sentencing proceeding.
