Tech Mahindra obtains antitrust clearance for $1 billion merger with Satyam Computer Services

Jones Day acted as global antitrust counsel to Tech Mahindra Ltd., one India's leading IT companies, on its full merger with Satyam Computer Services Ltd. ("Mahindra Satyam"), a transaction valued at approximately $1 billion. Tech Mahindra had already acquired a 43% interest in Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, in 2009 and agreed in March 2012 to fully merge Mahindra Satyam with Tech Mahindra. The transaction was subject to various regulatory and other approvals, including those of the Bombay High Court at Mumbai and the Andra Pradesh High Court at Hyderabad.
