Corporate counseling regarding contracts for Breakthrough Charter Schools

Client(s) Breakthrough Schools

From February through April 2013, Jones Day assisted Breakthrough Charter Schools ("BCS") with certain contracts regarding the implementation of the Ohio mandated teacher evaluations and related software solutions and the construction of an addition to one of the existing charter schools to allow the school to serve a greater number of students. BCS is a network of public charter schools in Cleveland, Ohio that was formed in 2010 by three high performing urban public charter schools in the area. BCS currently has nine schools in its network, serving more than 2,000 Cleveland students.
