Meyer Bergman forms joint venture with Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan to purchase shopping centers in Czech Republic

Client(s) Meyer Bergman, Ltd.

Jones Day represented Meyer Bergman, Ltd. in the formation of a joint venture with Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan to purchase two shopping centers in the Czech Republic for EUR 300 million. The shopping centers are Forum Nova Karolina in Ostrava and Forum Usti nad Labem, located in its namesake city north of Prague. The acquisition was structured as a 50/50 joint venture between Meyer Bergman's specialist retail focused fund, Meyer Bergman European Retail Partners I, and HOOPP.
