North American Coal forms joint venture for mining services in South Texas project

Client(s) NACCO Industries, Inc.

Jones Day advised NACCO Industries, Inc. in its joint venture to form mine coal reserves in Maverick County, Texas. Pursuant to a Contract Mining Agreement, Camino Real Fuels, L.L.C., a subsidiary of The North American Coal Corporation, will contribute mining expertise and labor to design, develop, construct and operate the mine. Dos Republicas Coal Partnership, a subsidiary of Minerales Monclova, S.A. de C.V., will provide the coal reserves, working capital and mining equipment.
