Triarc Companies defends shareholder action

Client(s) Triarc Companies, Inc.

Jones Day represented Triarc Companies, Inc. in lawsuits brought by Wendy's shareholders seeking to enjoin the proposed acquisition of Wendy's by Triarc. The litigation was settled, allowing the sale to proceed. The shareholders approved the transaction and the merger closed in late 2008.
