Abbott defends against putative class actions and nationwide collective actions involving pharmaceutical sales reps

Jones Day represents Abbott Laboratories in putative class actions and nationwide collective actions involving pharmaceutical sales representatives.

(1) Solimine v. Abbott Laboratories, Plaintiffs allege that they and other New York sales representatives improperly were classified as exempt, and therefore denied overtime pay and spread-of-hours compensation under the New York Labor Law.

(2) Jarrell v. Abbott Laboratories, Plaintiff alleges that she and other Connecticut sales representatives improperly were classified as exempt, and therefore denied overtime pay under Connecticut law.

(3) Ibanez v. Abbott Laboratories, Plaintiff alleges that he and other Pennsylvania sales representatives improperly were classified as exempt, and therefore denied overtime pay under the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

(4) Dantinne v. Abbott Laboratories, Plaintiff alleges he and other Colorado sales representatives improperly were classified as exempt, and therefore denied overtime pay under the Colorado Minimum Wage Order.
