Jones Day's Koree Wooley named a "Top Woman Lawyer" by the Daily Journal

Jones Day partner Koree Wooley has been named a "Top Woman Lawyer" by The Daily Journal. The list celebrates California's most impactful female attorneys for their excellence in litigation, corporate law, and legal impact.

Ms. Wooley is a leading employment litigator who defends major employers in complex class and representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), including deep expertise representing employers governed by the Railway Labor Act in state and federal proceedings. Ms. Wooley also has trial experience in front of judges, juries, and arbitrators. She recently secured a preliminary injunction barring a pilot strike just minutes before it was set to begin in a high-stakes employment matter; obtained the first summary judgement ruling in favor of an airline facing a challenge to its compensation practices; helped set new precedent on trade secret law in California; and regularly achieves exceptional results in the defense of employers in complex wage-and-hour matters while guiding compliance efforts that also preserve core operations.

Ms. Wooley is the hiring partner for the San Diego Office of Jones Day. Her passion for bringing up the next generation of lawyers is evident as she recruits and mentors law students and junior associates with a goal of instilling the same sense of responsibility and joy that inspires her practice.
