Jones Day among “Women-forward workplaces” recognized by Crain’s New York Business

Crain's New York Business included Jones Day on its list of "Women-forward workplaces" as part of its annual "Women of Influence" awards. "Women-forward workplaces" are "…committed to women having a voice in planning and operations. The organizations have programs, initiatives and policies that advance women in the workplace."

With extensive formal and informal mentoring methods, Jones Day's partnership allows women lawyers to thrive. The Firmwide Women's Affinity Group and office Women's Initiative groups (known as WIN), highlight women at the Firm, alumni, and clients; include panel discussions on a wide-range of issues; and devote time and resources to charities focused on women's issues (such as clothing and food drives and pro-bono legal services to women in need).

Jones Day's strong commitment to diversity is demonstrated from the ranks of associates through the highest levels of Firm leadership. As of December 2023, women make up 43% of the Firm's U.S. lawyers and, in the last three years, 40% of U.S. lawyers admitted to the partnership were women. Women are at the forefront of key geographic areas of interest for Jones Day, comprising 43% of the Firm's Partners-in-Charge for offices in Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

In addition to being recognized by Crain's New York Business among its "Women-forward workplaces" for four consecutive years, Jones Day has been named a "Ceiling Smasher" by Law360 for having one of the top percentages of female equity partners in law firms with more than 600 lawyers.

The Firm is distinguished by: a singular tradition of client service; the mutual commitment to, and the seamless collaboration of, a true partnership; formidable legal talent across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions; and shared professional values that focus on client needs.
