Max Rose advises unlisted and listed clients on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, and general corporate and commercial matters.
Max recently acted for the Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) on its debt and equity investment and participation on behalf of the State of Queensland in the recapitalization and acquisition out of administration of Australia's second largest airline, Virgin Australia, by Bain Capital (Mergermarket's M&A Deal of the Year for 2020). He also advised QIC on its cornerstone investment in the initial public offering of Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure Limited.
He has advised domestic and international clients on transactional matters, including business acquisitions and disposals, equity capital raisings, corporate restructurings, regulatory compliance (including Corporations Act and ASX listing rule compliance), and goods supply and procurement contracting.
Max has advised clients across a broad range of sectors, including energy and resources, funds management, agribusiness, medical biotechnology, and building and construction.
He recently worked on the corporate restructurings of an ASX-listed company to a stapled company and trust structure and the redomiciliation of an ASX-listed company to the United States.
While in law school, Max worked at the Queensland Land Court, where he focused on mining tenement disputes.
