Sachin Patel focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on patent litigation in district courts across the country and post-grant proceedings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). His experience spans a variety of technologies ranging from biotechnology to mechanical devices.

Sachin is a registered patent attorney. While in law school, Sachin served as an intellectual property research assistant to Professor Mark D. Janis. Sachin was the recipient of the 2020 Jan Jancin Award, a scholarship given to the law student who best exemplifies excellence in the field of intellectual property law. Prior to law school, he worked as a paralegal for a law firm in Chicago.

Sachin also maintains an active pro bono practice that includes handling a detainee's Section 1983 civil rights case in federal court.

Sachin is a member of the Richard Linn American Inn of Court.
