Jordon Patterson, a trial lawyer and member of more than 20 jury trial teams, defends companies in complex product liability lawsuits. Specifically, she has served as second-chair trial counsel in multiple trials and as first-chair trial counsel in two trials. Jordon has tried cases in state and federal courts.

Since 2009, Jordon has been part of the national coordinating counsel team representing R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in thousands of personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits across Florida. Jordon has been involved in all stages of litigation and has developed a broad range of experience that includes written discovery, taking and defending expert and fact depositions, motions practice, the evaluation and preparation of fact and expert witnesses for trial, and examination of fact and expert witnesses at trial. She has extensive experience with experts across multiple fields including oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, psychiatry, and history.

Since 2011, Jordon has coauthored the Georgia chapter of Business Torts: A Fifty-State Guide. Jordon is also actively involved in recruiting and conducts Georgia State University School of Law's on campus interviews.

On November 14, 2016, following 10 days of trial, a jury in Naples, Florida returned a complete defense verdict for Jones Day client R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in a personal injury action.

R.J. Reynolds wins jury verdict in Gamble ''Engle progeny'' lawsuit
On March 8, 2016, following an 11-day trial and less than one hour of deliberation, a jury in Jacksonville, Florida returned a verdict in favor of Jones Day client R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in an "Engle progeny" lawsuit.

On October 5, 2015, a jury in Punta Gorda, Florida returned a verdict favorable to Jones Day client R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company following 10 days of trial and approximately 4 hours of deliberation in an "Engle progeny" lawsuit.

On June 25, 2014, following eight days of trial and less than four hours of deliberation, a jury in Ocala, Florida returned a verdict in favor of Jones Day client R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in a personal injury action, finding that the smoker was not a member of the Engle class.

On November 15, 2013, following nine days of trial and less than two hours of deliberation, a jury in Fort Myers, Florida returned a verdict in favor of Jones Day client R.J. Reynolds in a personal injury action finding that the smoker was not an Engle class member.

On March 29, 2013, following five days of trial and approximately four hours of deliberation, a jury in Jacksonville, Florida returned a verdict in favor of R.J. Reynolds and Liggett Group LLC in a wrongful death action, assigning 100% of the fault to the smoker.
