Jeffrey Lai focuses his practice on litigation and intellectual property proceedings. He has experience in trade secret disputes and patent-related matters, including prosecution, infringement, and validity analyses. He also assists clients in evaluating potential claims under competition law and recently worked on trade secret litigation involving semiconductors.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Jeffrey interned in the legal department of a top-five global IC (integrated circuit) design company. His dual background in law and engineering enables him to address technically complex legal matters with greater efficiency and insight.
Jeffrey is committed to social responsibility, and in 2023, he served as an international volunteer in Nepal.
