Daria Kasparek Bejan focuses her practice on complex civil litigation matters, including in the areas of trusts, contracts, fiduciary duty, and fraud. She also has experience in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations.

Daria has been involved in many aspects of litigation, from the pleadings stage through discovery and evidentiary hearings.

Daria also maintains an active pro bono practice and represents individuals seeking asylum in the United States as part of Jones Day's nationwide pro bono initiative and volunteers at various clinics that provide legal services to her local community.

  • Directors of D.C. religious nonprofit win complete dismissal of claims alleging fiduciary violations and breach of contractJones Day secured dismissal of a longstanding suit against a D.C. religious nonprofit and its directors. In August 2022, the D.C. Court of Appeals reversed a $530 million judgment against the directors, vindicating their rights under the First Amendment.
  • PAG invests in Key Safety Systems to finance acquisition of global assets of Takata CorporationJones Day represented PAG Asia Capital Ltd. and PAG Asia II LP in connection with its investment in Key Safety Systems, a subsidiary of China-based Ningbo Joyson Electronic Corporation, to finance the acquisition of substantially all of the global assets of Takata Corporation out of bankruptcy in the U.S. and Japan and certain non-bankruptcy transactions elsewhere in the world.
