Before joining Jones Day in 2025, Josh Hyland served in the U.S. Navy as an officer in submarines, deploying aboard the USS ALABAMA (SSBN-731). As a midshipman, he studied abroad in Russia and Ukraine (2011 and 2012). In law school Josh served as student counsel with the Georgetown Law Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he handled two cases before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
