Haohui Duan is a biologist with an extensive background in cancer research. She focuses on patent prosecution in life sciences, particularly in cutting-edge technologies such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2024, Haohui conducted graduate research at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she investigated novel preventative and chemotherapeutic strategies for breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Haohui has coauthored several peer-reviewed publications and has presented her scientific work at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) meetings and at the Keystone Symposia. She also earned the 1st prize Poster Presentation Award at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center Symposium.

In addition to her scientific background, Haohui has a master's degree in business administration that equips her with a strong foundation in business strategy and cross-disciplinary problem-solving. This unique combination of scientific rigor and business acumen enhances her ability to bridge the gap between research innovation and practical application.
