Audrey Bontemps has advised clients on numerous mid-cap M&A transactions, as well as several large-cap M&A transactions.

Audrey's practice focuses on private M&A, including both domestic and cross-border divestitures, acquisitions and strategic alliances, contracts, and corporate law issues. She represents large French and multinational industrial corporations and investment funds in a number of key sectors and is especially active in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and real estate sectors.

Recent representative matters include: Total SA's two major divestitures of its specialty chemicals affiliate Atotech B.V., a global manufacturer of high-technology plating solutions, to The Carlyle Group, and of its worldwide adhesives business to Arkema; Calgon Carbon's acquisition of Arkema's wood-based activated carbon, reactivation, and mineral-based filtration media business; CBRE Global Investors' sale of a portfolio of 12 dry and cold storage logistics properties located throughout France; and Henderson Park Real Estate Fund I's acquisition of Le Méridien Etoile Hotel, the largest hotel in Paris, which was sold by a partnership of Mount Kellett Capital Management and Cedar Capital Partners, for €365 million (US$392 million). Audrey also has had substantial involvement in M&A transactions for other clients such as Novartis, Sanofi, and Solvay.

In addition, Audrey advises clients in the banking sector. She has notably represented My Money Bank (formerly GE Money Bank) in the sale of its auto loans activity in mainland France to Financo, an affiliate of Arkea Group, and Euronext in its acquisition of a minority stake in the leading multi-asset clearing house LCH.Clearnet SA from LCH.Clearnet Group Limited.
