Cassie Arney's practice focuses on the executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of corporate acquisitions, dispositions, and mergers.
Cassie has experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements, severance agreements, and sale bonus agreements, as well as equity incentive arrangements in both the corporate and partnership setting. She also advises clients regarding the administration and compliance of employee benefit plans, programs, and arrangements with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). In addition, she has assisted in the drafting and review of documents related to the golden parachute payment tax implications of executive compensation arrangements in multiple private and public company transactions.
Cassie has worked on more than 50 completed transactions. Some of the recent transactions on which she has advised include the $1.3 billion sale of Calgon Carbon to Kuraray, TDK Corporation's $1.3 billion acquisition of InvenSense, and the $1.5 billion sale of RTI International Metals to Alcoa.
