Deutsche Post / DHL defend information exchange case brought by French Competition Authority

Jones Day represents Deutsche Post / DHL before France’s antitrust authority in a major case concerning an alleged exchange of information that involved (among others) the four largest national Post Offices in the European Union. Following an investigation, the French Competition Authority in December 2015 levied fines against 20 parcel delivery companies. In July 2018, Deutsche Post / DHL obtained a judgment from the Court of Appeal of Paris, which reduced its fine by €11 million (from €81 to €70 million). This judgment is on appeal before the French Supreme Court (Cour de cassation).
