Father ordered to pay nearly $30,000 in child support

Jones Day New York associates Gasper LaRosa and Kathleen Choi represented a mother of three children in successfully enforcing a child support order, and in her request for dismissal of the father's request to modify the child support Order. The father of Client C's children had a history of failing to make child support payments and Jones Day attorneys were able to establish that he was in arrears for nearly $30,000. Jones Day also argued successfully during a hearing in Bronx Family Court that the father's request to modify Client C's child support Order was improper. Consequently, the Court ordered a dismissal of the father's petition, and ordered the father to pay the full amount of child support in arrears.
