Bernardo Wappler advises national and international clients on German corporate law, with a focus on private equity, domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and general corporate and capital market law matters. He represents corporate clients, private equity funds, and other financial investors in private and public transactions as well as in corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2026, Bernardo worked at a German law firm in Düsseldorf, where he advised clients on a broad range of M&A and private equity transactions.
In addition to his legal education, Bernardo is a trained banker and has gained significant experience in financial markets and accounting during a two-year apprenticeship with an international banking group.
