Alonso Velázquez Marván's practice focuses on administrative and constitutional litigation, primarily involving energy, tax, environmental, and government contracts, before federal and local courts including the Mexican Supreme Court. Alonso has represented clients in high-stakes litigation challenging laws and regulations as well as in fines and sanctions imposed by government agencies. Alonso has represented major companies in the energy, water, mining, manufacturing, health products, and national security industries.

Alonso also has experience guiding companies through compliance investigations conducted by federal and local regulatory agencies and in counseling clients on matters in highly regulated sectors such as health, energy, international commerce, and the environment.

In addition, Alonso maintains an active pro bono practice. He currently helps asylum applicants prepare for merits hearings through the Firm's Border Project and counsels nonprofit companies on tax and sector-specific regulations compliance.
