Vanessa Sounthakith advises clients on all aspects of French and international taxation. Her practice focuses on national and cross-border transactions (M&A, private equity, and real estate) as well as on individual tax matters and tax litigation before the French tax authorities and tax courts. In particular, Vanessa advises on venture capital financings, equity incentive schemes, and management packages.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Vanessa worked for a French boutique tax law firm that is dedicated to private clients. She also practiced at international law firms where she served on their tax teams.

In addition, Vanessa teaches French corporate taxation of companies and tax consolidation at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
