Oliver Staatz befasst sich schwerpunktmäßig mit dem deutschen und internationalen Steuerrecht. Er berät insbesondere bei nationalen und internationalen M&A-, Private-Equity- und Real-Estate Transaktionen.

Er verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung in der umfassenden steuerlichen Beratung von Unternehmen, Finanzinstituten, Fonds und Privatpersonen bei einer Vielzahl komplexer Transaktionen. Darüber hinaus berät er Mandanten regelmäßig bei verbindlichen Auskünften, Betriebsprüfungen und Steuerstreitigkeiten.

Vor Beginn seiner Tätigkeit bei Jones Day im Jahre 2017, war Herr Staatz mehrere Jahre für einen auf Transaktionen spezialisierten Spin-off einer renommierten deutschen Kanzlei tätig. Dort sammelte er Erfahrung in den Bereichen Steuerrecht, M&A und Private Equity.

Herr Staatz war Lehrbeauftragter für European Tax Law an der Universität Mannheim und als ehemaliger Teilnehmer unterstützt er Studenten, die am Moot Court der Deutschen Steuerjuristischen Gesellschaft (DStJG) und des Bundesfinanzhofs (BFH) teilnehmen.
