Jacob Sandstrom practices in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation. He advises clients on the design, drafting, and administration of plans, programs, agreements, and arrangements with complex legal requirements, including the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Jacob has experience counseling clients on the compensation and benefits aspects of multibillion dollar corporate transactions, and he regularly assists public companies with compensation-related securities law compliance and disclosure matters, including under Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
He has represented companies across a range of industries, including the aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, engineering, fintech, health care, manufacturing, natural resources, and real estate investment industries, among others.
Jacob is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He maintains an active pro bono practice, volunteering at immigration clinics sponsored by Cleveland Catholic Charities. He has also contributed to the Firm's efforts in the Right to Counsel program, which provides free legal representation for eligible low-income tenants in Cleveland Housing Court.
