Hannah Ohara is a civil litigator who represents clients in complex litigation relating to health care, false claims, trade secret misappropriation, commercial disputes, and consumer fraud. She also helps companies conduct internal investigations and navigate high-stakes government investigations through resolution. She has managed all facets of civil litigation, including depositions, expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial preparation, and mediation.
Hannah also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing refugees seeking asylum through Jones Day's Border Project and assisting individuals facing domestic violence with applications for temporary restraining orders. Hannah serves on the board of the Federal Bar Association's San Diego Chapter, where she leads civil programming as the vice president of Civil Legal Education. She is also an active member of the J. Clifford Wallace Inn of Court and the Women's White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) San Diego Chapter.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Hannah served for two years as a law clerk to Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, where she gained firsthand insight into federal civil and criminal litigation, motion practice, and trial management.
