Willyann Gueffet advises on the development, financing, and structuring of large-scale international projects, with a focus on renewable energy, conventional power, mining, and infrastructure projects.
Willyann has a dual curriculum in law and finance that enables him to offer comprehensive and strategic advice on complex, cross-border projects. He advises and represents a diverse range of clients, including sovereign entities, lenders, project sponsors, and construction builders and operators in the development of international projects. He is involved in major projects in France (solar plants, wind farms, luxury hotels refurbishment), Europe (solar plants and data centers), Africa (hydropower plants, desalination plants, cogeneration plants, toll roads), and the Middle East (solar). He also advises on regulatory issues relating to public business law and construction law.
Before joining Jones Day, Willyann worked at an international law firm in Paris, where he gained extensive experience advising on major projects and transactions involving the negotiation and drafting of project contracts, including PPPs (public-private partnerships), concession contracts, EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction), O&M (operations and maintenance), and direct agreements.
