Ben Witherall is an English-qualified corporate finance lawyer with more than 15 years of experience advising on private equity, M&A, and investment funds transactions. He advises clients located throughout Asia, including Singapore, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and China, as well as U.S. and European clients on their Asia transactions.

Ben advises public and private companies, private equity funds, investors, and financial institutions on a wide range of corporate transactions including international and domestic mergers, acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures, and capital markets transactions.

He also regularly advises fund sponsors and investors in the establishment of private equity and real estate funds and the portfolio investments undertaken by such funds.

Ben frequently works with start-ups, founders, venture capital funds, and investors on their venture fund-raising and investment transactions (seed, preferred series, and pre-IPO). As part of the Firm's Technology Practice, he advises clients on technology-focused transactions in the region.

Ben has recently worked with clients such as: Greystar Real Estate Partners, CBRE IM, ARA Asset Management, Oxford Properties, OMERS and various other Canadian institutional investors, Gaw Capital Partners, Stonepeak Partners, Procter & Gamble, Verizon Ventures, CREA, UPL Limited, Sands Corp., and Yamaha Motor Company, amongst others.
