Collin Waring represents real estate investors, funds, developers, REITs (real estate investment trusts), and publicly held companies on a range of commercial real estate transactions. His practice covers acquisitions (including forward purchases), dispositions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, financing (including preferred equity), development, and leasing of commercial and residential properties.
Collin has served as lead counsel for Invitation Homes, guiding its expansion in the growing single-family residential sector, with a focus on developing its build-to-rent portfolio. Over the past few years, he has led single-family residential transactions exceeding $2 billion.
In addition, Collin regularly represents, and is a trusted advisor to, TriGate Capital, Mill Creek Residential, Morgan Stanley, and one of the largest logistical real estate companies in the world.
In addition to Collin's real estate practice, he is a proponent of blockchain and digital assets with a focus towards bringing real-world assets onto the blockchain.
Before attending law school, Collin caddied for his childhood friend on the Korn Ferry Tour and maintains a golf handicap index around 0. During law school, Collin worked with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer.
