Seth Stukalin's practice centers around the representation of private capital providers, debt funds, national banks, real estate investors, developers, REITs (real estate investment trusts), and publicly held companies on a range of complex commercial real estate transactions.
Seth has represented debt funds and institutional lenders in connection with the origination of more than $5 billion in commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions, as well as more than $400 million in note pledge, purchase, and sale transactions. Additionally, Seth has extensive asset-management and workout experience involving complex restructuring, recapitalization, and the exercise of remedies on behalf of senior and junior lenders (including mortgage and mezzanine foreclosure).
Seth also advises real estate developers, sponsors, equity providers, and real estate investment funds in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, financing (including preferred equity), development, and leasing of commercial and residential properties.
Seth is a Dallas native and is passionate about serving his community, ranging from involvement with Dallas CASA (a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Dallas County's foster care system) to serving on The Lamplighter School Alumni Council.
