Sean Skedzielewski represents clients facing state attorney general actions, complex civil litigation, and regulatory challenges.

Sean previously served as counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Division at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) litigating high-profile cases of national significance. In that role, Sean led nationwide affirmative civil litigation initiatives to uphold the supremacy of federal immigration law securing wins in federal district and circuit courts across the United States. Additionally, Sean successfully litigated cases arising under the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments; the Supremacy Clause; Separation of Powers; and the Administrative Procedure Act. Sean has secured favorable outcomes in motions practice, including motions for temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction, motions to dismiss, and for summary judgment; first-chaired evidentiary hearings, including examination of witnesses; secured emergency writs of mandamus in circuit courts; taken and defended depositions; and argued dispositive motions in more than a dozen federal district courts.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Sean worked as an adjunct professor of philosophy at several colleges in New Jersey.
