Sam Storey is experienced in commercial litigation, arbitration, and financial regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, Sam advised major financial institutions on regulatory investigations and proceedings in federal court; a large Commonwealth client on a construction arbitration; and multinational mining and resource companies in a range of commercial disputes. Sam also practiced in New York City, where she assisted U.S.-based clients raising complex breach of contract and fraud claims in Delaware federal court and New York State court.

In addition, Sam clerked in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where she worked on cases involving cross-border taxation, terrorism, public procurement, and chemical products regulation.

Throughout her career, Sam has provided pro bono services for clients, including indigenous organizations and migrant refugees. She has served on a gender rights pro bono steering committee drafting reports on coercive control and domestic violence reform and volunteered with the New York Legal Assistance Group to assist underserved self-represented litigants on civil rights, copyright, and employment issues in the Southern District of New York. She also has not-for-profit board experience and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
