Yanis Rahim advises French and international clients on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and compliance matters.
He represents executives and corporations, both in defense and as civil parties, at all stages of criminal proceedings — from preliminary inquiries and judicial investigations to trial and appeal. His practice focuses on white collar offenses, media and press law, consumer protection (particularly environmental or "greenwashing" allegations), labor-related criminal matters, and sanctions. He also assists clients in negotiating criminal settlements, including with the French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF).
Yanis regularly advises companies subject to the Sapin II Law on anti-corruption compliance and supports them during audits conducted by the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA).
He also advises corporations subject to France's Duty of Vigilance Law, particularly on human rights and fundamental freedoms issues, both in France and abroad.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Yanis practiced as an associate in the London office of a leading U.S. law firm, where he advised listed companies and investment banks and participated in the compliance monitorship program of a major industrial group following a plea agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.
Since 2025, Yanis has been a lecturer at the Undergraduate College of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).
