Mahindra Ramani advises domestic and international clients on complex restructurings, insolvency, and special situations matters. His experience includes debt restructurings, safe harbour restructurings under section 444GA of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), distressed and nondistressed M&A, external administration, director duties, and general litigation.
Drawing on his dual background in law and accounting, Mahindra brings a forensic and commercial perspective to complex financial matters. He is experienced in advising clients where legal, accounting, and strategic issues converge, including matters involving financial distress, regulatory scrutiny, and competing stakeholder interests.
Mahindra acts for a broad range of clients, including institutional banks, private credit lenders, surety providers, renewable energy companies, casinos, government regulators, mining companies, and airports. His recent matters prior to joining Jones Day in 2026 include acting for BlackRock, StatKraft AS, Westpac, Rabobank, Assetinsure, and Carl's Jr. and supporting the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) in connection with its financial investigation into Honda.
