Julia Risi represents employers in a variety of labor and employment matters. She has experience assisting with collective bargaining negotiations and performs employment-related diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions. Julia also advises clients on compliance with New York State and New York City labor and employment laws. Her litigation experience includes defending employers in claims arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and analogous state laws.
Julia maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes providing labor and employment services to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. She also works with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) to represent unaccompanied minors on immigration matters.
