Angela Pruitt's practice focuses primarily on complex business restructuring and reorganization, including chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy litigation, and other bankruptcy-related matters.
Angela currently represents Aldrich Pump and Murray Boiler, affiliates of Trane Technologies, in the chapter 11 proceedings before the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
Angela also represents credit reporting agencies in bankruptcy-related consumer litigation under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
In addition, Angela maintains an active pro bono practice, partnering with the Law Center for Better Housing (LCBH) to improve housing stability and quality for low- to moderate-income renters in the Chicago area.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Angela clerked in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Angela is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and The Chicago Bar Association.
