Solène Noris practices in the field of French, European, and international environmental law. She assists the Firm's French and international clients in administrative and court proceedings relating to industrial risks, as well as in transactional matters. She advises clients on a wide range of issues, including waste management, extra-financial reporting, chemical substances, and climate change, with a particular focus on plastic recycling.
Solène regularly advises industrial operators on the creation, operation, and closure of facilities classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE/Installations Classées pour la Protection de l'Environnement). She takes a comprehensive approach to cases and provides end-to-end support to clients in their dealings with various authorities, from obtaining the permits required to operate an industrial site through to the termination of activities, including remediation issues, as well as support during the operational phase and, where necessary, challenging inappropriate administrative decisions before the courts.
She has developed particular experience in waste management and assists clients with end-of-waste status procedures and the organization of cross-border transfers of waste. She also conducts environmental audits of complex industrial sites.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2022, Solène served as a law clerk in the offshore wind legal department of TotalEnergies.
